Rowan Ferrier answers questions from top judges and justices

CONCORD, NH 鈥 UNH Franklin Pierce 金莲直播 JD candidate, Rowan Ferrier (expected 2022), presented in a large committee comprised of the top judges and justices and clerks of our circuit, superior, supreme, and federal courts as well as many important figures in Media Law in NH at the recent Fall 2021 New Hampshire Committee on Judiciary and the Media. Ferrier authored a memo circulated to all members of the committee which gives a review of all states鈥 鈥渞ight-to-know鈥 laws when a requester is faced with a denial of a request.  In the meeting, Ferrier presented and answered questions on his findings on judicial procedures for these issues. Ferrier answered questions on appellate process and notice of grounds for refusal of a request.

鈥淩esearching and presenting this project was a wonderful experience,鈥 says Ferrier. 鈥淚t was very interesting to learn about right to know across the country and in New Hampshire.鈥 Ferrier completed this project as a volunteer project because he felt it would allow him to learn more about New Hampshire and meet interesting people.

UNH Franklin Pierce Clinical Professor and Director of the Intellectual Property and Transaction Clinic, Ashlyn Lembree, was in attendance and praised Ferrier鈥檚 presentation: 鈥淸Ferrier鈥檚 work] will benefit our state and judicial system and was a great show of our school鈥檚 very capable and accomplished students.鈥
