What motivates you to give back to your community?
I鈥檝e been lucky to have been given so many opportunities, and my driving force is paying it forward. I was fortunate to attend a great public school where I had amazing teachers and mentors that believed in me, classes that challenged and excited me, and activities where I could explore my passions and build friendships. My motivation is in making sure that all kids, regardless of their backgrounds or where they live, have those same opportunities to learn, grow and thrive.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
Have fun and follow your heart. Don鈥檛 be afraid to shake things up. Making mistakes, changing course and finding new passions is part of the ride. Learn how to find the joy in it.
What would make New Hampshire more attractive to young professionals?
New Hampshire is an amazing place with so much to offer, but it鈥檚 increasingly out of reach for young families. Public policies that support young people 鈥 investing in affordable housing, child care and public schools 鈥 is one of the most important things we can do as a state, as well as creating more 鈥渢hird places鈥 that foster a sense of community and belonging.
Do you see yourself living and working in New Hampshire at age 55-plus?
While the future is always uncertain, living and working in this community has given me the support I need for both my family and my career.
Last major achievement: Finishing my first semester of law school.
