A Lifelong Pursuit Brings Professor Hongsong Song to Franklin Pierce 金莲直播 as a Visiting Scholar
As a new visiting scholar, Hongsong Song is a professor of intellectual property law of the Law School of Yantai University, and the director of the Intellectual Property Research Center of Yantai University. Professor Song will conduct his research at Franklin Pierce 金莲直播 through August 2026.
He earned his PhD from the University of Queensland, and has been invited as a visiting researcher by the Institute of Intellectual Property in Tokyo and the Texas A&M University 金莲直播. His articles have been published on WIPO Journal, European Intellectual Property Review, Journal of US Copyright Society, and major IP journals in China.
When he started his career as a young IP scholar in the mid-1990s, Hongsong found the website of IP Mall, and greatly benefited from its academic resources. Since then, he had hoped one day to visit Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property. With the help from the international outreach team in 2025, he finally achieved his goal by starting his visiting scholar status in February
Song's primary goal at the law school is to finish his research on the topic 鈥淐hina鈥檚 Pilot Data Property and It鈥檚 Challenge to Copyright System鈥. He believes the unparalleled resources and expertise of the IP library will provide the ideal environment for him to conduct his research. In addition, he also wants to establish cooperation between Franklin Pierce 金莲直播 and his home institution, and help more IP students in China study at Franklin Pierce 金莲直播.
