The UNH Franklin Pierce 金莲直播 is excited to announce that Charles McIntyre, the Executive Director of the NH Lottery and Gaming Commission, will serve as the 2026 Commencement Speaker. He will also receive an Honorary Degree during the May 15 ceremony at White Park.

Charles has served as the Lottery and Gaming Commission's Executive Director since 2010. He has steadily grown the commission鈥檚 revenue over his tenure from $62 million in his first year to approximately $209 million in 2025, an all-time record.

Within that first year, NH went from being the slowest-growth lottery in the U.S. to being among the top five in sales and net funding growth.

Also, during his tenure, McIntyre helped oversee the launch of NH鈥檚 internet lottery called iLottery and the adoption of Keno. He was inducted into the Lottery Industry Hall of Fame in 2017.

Charles is responsible for all phases of budget preparation, revenue forecasting, strategic planning, and metrics-driven performance at the New Hampshire Lottery, all while performing to the highest standards of ethical business practices. He regularly speaks with the public, government officials, and the media at events and public hearings. He has fostered and continues to maintain excellent relationships with both branches of the New Hampshire State Legislature and has testified as an expert on gambling before state boards, legislative bodies, municipalities, and the U.S. Congress.

He has been an outspoken advocate for preservation of regulatory policies that protect the interests of state lotteries. His contributions include meetings with members of the U.S. Congress to inform them about the impact of regulatory policy on state lotteries. Charles presently serves as First Vice President of NASPL (North American Association of State & Provincial Lotteries), Chair of the NASPL Government Relations Committee, and Chair of the Powerball Product Group.

Prior to joining the NH Lottery and Gaming Commission, Charles served as the Chief Lawyer for the Massachusetts Lottery and as a Senior Prosecutor for the Norfolk District Attorney where he was focused on organized crime. McIntyre received his BA in History from Connecticut College and his JD from Suffolk Law School.
